Terms and Conditions for the Use of CourierLine.Com

These are the Courierline.Com Limited terms and conditions of business. They are important and should be read carefully – they explain the basis on which we offer and you use our Services. You are bound by these terms and conditions on completion of your application form or electronic registration, and the latest version of these terms and conditions will always be displayed on the CourierLine.Com web site (http://www.courierline.com).

1. Definitions
1.1 The "Customer" means the user of the CourierLine.Com web site, "CourierLine" means Courierline.Com Limited, "Services" means all services provided by CourierLine via its web site www.courierline.com.

2. Supply of Services
2.1 CourierLine agrees to provide the Services of the www.courierline.com web site to the courier industry in the UK only, to facilitate the arrangement of contracts for the carriage of parcels and other goods to move. CourierLine aim to provide a service of quality and aim to minimise service interruptions and have taken all reasonable steps to provide such a service.

2.2 CourierLine reserves the right to enhance, alter or withdraw any part of the Services at any time, on giving current Customers prior warning.

2.3 The Services are provided to the Customer on the understanding that their web site access password is kept secret and not divulged to any party outside of their own company branch. Any breach of this term or any fraudulent use detected on a Customer's account may result in the immediate termination of this agreement with the Customer and the cessation of these Services to that Customer.

2.4 The supply of Services may be affected by CourierLine for routine maintenance purposes. Whenever possible, such maintenance will be carried out at times of low usage (such as after 21:00hrs or Sundays) to minimise inconvenience to Customers.

3. Exclusion of Warranties
3.1 Save as expressly set out herein, all conditions or warranties which may be implied or incorporated into these terms and conditions by law or otherwise are hereby expressly excluded to the extent permitted by law. In no circumstances whatsoever will CourierLine be liable for economic, indirect or consequential loss, or any problems arising from any new or old business relationships between Customers which are initiated from the use of our Services.

3.2 The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and we make no warranties or representations, whether express or implied, in relation to CourierLine or the Services, including but not limited to, implied warranties or conditions of completeness, accuracy, satisfactory quality, or any loss of business or monies resulting from delays, non-deliveries, missed deliveries, service interruptions or the inability to access our web site.

3.3 Any contract of carriage entered into for delivery of parcels or other goods to move is between the Customer and its customer. CourierLine are not a party to any such contracts, nor do CourierLine have any control over the terms of any such contracts.

3.4 To minimise the risk of bad debt, only companies with a Dunn & Bradstreet credit rating of one, two, or three at the time of application will be allowed a CourierLine Customer. CourierLine cannot be held responsible for any bad debt incurred from the use of its Services. In addition, CourierLine cannot be held responsible for any change in a Customer's credit rating during their time as a Customer, and additional checks on existing Customers may be carried out at the discretion of CourierLine.

3.5 CourierLine accepts no responsibility for the content of operation of any third-party web sites linked to by www.courierline.com, such as Customers’ web sites and Internet-based map suppliers.

3.6 CourierLine accepts no responsibility for the timeliness of email delivery of any emails sent from or through CourierLine, including notification emails, nor do CourierLine guarantee that email delivery will occur to any email address on the system. CourierLine can in no way be held accountable for the failure of these previously mentioned emails.

4. General
4.1 All journey, backload and courier information is supplied by our Customers and CourierLine have no control over their content or accuracy.

4.2 CourierLine Services are to be accessed by Customers using a computer with Internet capability. For correct operation of these Services, Customers must ensure that their computer is set to accept ‘Cookies’ and have ‘Java’ settings switched on – these settings are normally activated by default.

4.3 After any initial free-usage period offered to Customers by CourierLine, the published fee (monthly payment period or annual payment period) will be due in advance of the period. Any failure by the Customer to make the correct payments in advance may result in the suspension or termination of the Service for that Customer. The minimum period of contract for the use of CourierLine Services is equivalent to the payment period (either monthly or annual).

Without prior CourierLine consent, the copying or adaptation of the material on this web site or its incorporation into any other work by any means is prohibited. However, Customers may print or download extracts of such material for their own use. These are the only rights granted in respect of copyrighted material.
